The story of Orange Bay
From a bare sandbank to the Maldives of Egypt
Orange Bay began as nothing more than a pale strip of sand off Big Giftun. The fishing boats passed without slowing down.
What made it special was hiding just under the surface: a shallow, wind-sheltered lagoon so clear it barely looks real. A small Egyptian-German team saw a destination where everyone else saw an empty bank, and built the tours to reach it on purpose: a reef-safe code, a real buffet lunch, boats for every kind of traveler.
Today, that same lagoon is why guests call it the Maldives of Egypt.
